The warm weather is finally here, so relieve your cabin fever with a trip to Downtown Ithaca on Tuesday, April 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the Downtown Ithaca Alliance’s Day Out in Downtown activities.
This month, Day Out starts off at 10:30 a.m. with an informative talk at the Christian Science Reading Room, a library and bookstore where the public is welcome to read from dozens of religious materials and pray. During the visit, guests will learn about the Christian Science Monitor and how it became a global news source. Guests will receive a complimentary copy of this fantastic publication. Following this informative activity, you’ll be able to enjoy a specially priced and delicious lunch at 12 noon at the new American-style food restaurant Monks on the Commons. Lunch will include a house soup, salad and half a sandwich for ONLY $10!!!
Seats are limited for the lunch, so please RVSP by calling the DIA at (607) 277-8679. Reservations need to be made by Thursday, April 20.
The day concludes with a tour of the beautifully designed Ithaca Marriott where a hotel guide will take you to review the different sized rooms, including the luxurious suites. Also, be sure to check the meeting and banquet facility which comes with a spectacular view of the Ithaca Commons and the city’s surrounding landscapes. It’s the perfect venue to host meetings, ceremonies, conferences, wedding receptions and other special events.
As always, parking is available in the Seneca, Green and Cayuga street garages, but try out the city’s new Community Valet Parking. Simply pull your vehicle up to the front entrance curb at the Marriott and an attendant will park your vehicle for you. The charge for this service is $3 an hour.
More details about the Day Out activities are available on the flyer in this post and online at www.downtownithaca.com.
