The Finger Lakes Running and Triathlon Company was created by Ian Golden, a former occupational therapist, in 2005 in an attempt to turn his passion into his profession. Ithaca was chosen for its natural beauty and opportunities for outdoor recreation and the store was born in May of 2006. Since its inception the Finger Lakes Running and Triathlon Company has sought to provide customers specialized attention including fittings by a staff trained in biomechanical analysis and who stand by and use the products they sell. The company also provides the community with a social and informational hub as well as events support and sponsorship.

Homegrown is Ithaca’s only skateboard shop and houses New York State’s most complete collection of footwear from Nike SB, Adidas, Cons, and Vans.
